| Can the Baroque become a contemporary language? This bet sounds crazy but that is what the Ensemble Boréades offer. In fact, they direct the baroque repertoire in order to renew the way of listening and invent a new kind of living show. Today, the company combines music with texts, dance or plastic parts (lights, scenery…) which give to the music a dramatistic context. Even if the Boréades try to avoid the usual tours as they could be heard in a temporarily inactive industrial estate, in the street or in many different parks, they do not leave the main festivals or theatres.
