L'Ensemble Ludus Modalis et la Maîtrise de la cathédrale de Reims dirigé Bruno Boterf

Bruno Boterf, one of the pillars of the Ensemble Clément Janequin, has created the company in 1998. The 8 or 12 singers of the company try to restore the particularities of the religious and secular repertoire of the Renaissance. His work is mostly focused on various forgotten notions such as the pronunciation, the intonation related to the use of the modes, the temperament, the search for new tones and a scrupulous respect of the original sources.
